A-Designs EM-Gold Card

The A Designs EM-Gold mic preamp module is part of the company's line of unique modules, each with their own color - both sonic and visual. The EM-Gold combines the dark edge of the EM-Silver preamp card with the upfront mids offered by the EM-Red module. It's a great combination that adds some real flavor to any mix.

As with all EM Series modules, this preamp card offers quality features, such as a phase switch, 20dB pad, 48V phantom power, aluminum gain knob, and thumb screws for easy install and un-install in the EM-Gold mic pre module.

A-Designs took the custom wound output transformer of the EM-Silver and combined it with the custom wound input transformer of the EM-Red for a truly unique sound, perfect for vocals, bass, even floor toms! The EM-Gold offers the darker end of the Silver's range, combined with the up-front mids that make the Red stand out.

The A-Designs "EM Series" is a twist on their popular Pacifica-based P-1 module. Each color (Silver, Blue, Red, and Gold) has its own sound, which is accomplished by using different custom wound output and input transformers. This gives you a large palette of preamp "coloration" to add to the sound of your favorite microphones or instruments.
