The AT849 condenser boundary mic offers X/Y stereo pickup as well as full mono capability (L+R). Dual miniature cardioid elements provide natural stereo ambiance over an arc of approx. 220-degrees, with a frequency response of 30-20,000Hz. The compact AT849 requires 48V phantom power and has a low-frequency roll-off switch. The 25' detachable cable terminates in two XLR outputs.

With true stereo output and twin XLR output connectors, the AT849 features closely matched, optimally positioned elements that deliver the spatial impact and realism of a live sound field.
The microphone’s heavy die-cast case and rubber bottom pad minimize coupling of surface vibration.
