Benchmark H1

The H1 from Benchmark is a high-resolution, single-channel stereo headphone amplifier designed to send boosted audio signals to headphones with impedances as low as 30 Ohms. At the heart of the unit is the HPA-2 amplifier module, which delivers a clean, clear audio performance designed to keep up with today's high-quality headphones.

The sonic purity of the HPA-2 fulfills even the most demanding listening applications. The spectacularly clean performance offers true state-of-the-art listening with today's ultra-high performance headphones.

The sleek enclosure has a pair of XLR input connectors on the rear panel for accepting a stereo audio signal from a mixer or other professional device. The front of the unit has a single 1/4" output connector and a knob for controlling the gain. The unit has an external power supply to keep interference to a minimum for the cleanest possible audio signal.

The PS-1, a ±16 VDC, 300 mA wall mount power supply, is included with every H1. By physically separating the power supply from the audio electronics, EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) generated from the transformer in-rush currents at the filter capacitors is prevented from contaminating the audio signal.
