Bock Audio AM50
Large Diaphragm Omnidirectional Tube Condenser Microphone
The AM 50 can capture like no other microphone in production today. The Bock Audio AM 50 offers a rare design that continues a tradition dating back to the microphones of the 1950s that were responsible for capturing the subtle ambience of orchestral performances.
The BOCK AM 50 features a half-inch diaphragm mounted in a sphere offering unique frequency-dependant directional characteristics. The capsule is mated to BOCK-designed tube electronics for wide bandwidth and dynamics. In addition, the custom BOCK inductor loaded linear power supply offers the best combination of long-term power, low noise floor and high-end mic sonic performance. Built around low-noise tube circuitry, the small, inner diaphragm rests in a spherical capsule that gives the AM 50 its unique, frequency-dependent directional characteristics. Not only is it ideal for groups of acoustic instruments ranging from small ensembles to full orchestras, but the AM 50 is particularly well suited for use in Decca tree configurations. Bock Audio AM 50 Features : - Spherical diaphragm for unique frequency-dependent pattern
- Top-quality, low-noise tube circuitry
- Captures acoustic ambience like no other microphone
