The JL Cooper Surround Panner for D-Command ES is a high-quality, dedicated surround panning controller that offers tactile control for positioning sound in the surround field. The Surround Panner Option works with any Pro Tools|HD system, and was designed specifically for the ICON D-Command ES worksurface with matching design and color scheme, though you don't need D-Command ES to use it.
It is easily integrated with other Digidesign control surfaces including C|24, 003 Factory, and Command|8, with Pro Tools|HD and Pro Tools LE (with the Complete Production Toolkit) systems.

Touch-sensitive joystick plus additional controls
The all-metal Surround Panner Option features a single, touch-sensitive joystick, five rotary knobs, and nine switches, giving you complete control of your system's surround channels, including pan, divergence, volume, mute, LFE, and Center percentage. The touch-sensitive joystick also provides huge benefits when writing surround automation.
Easy navigation and session control
In addition, the Surround Panner Option allows you to navigate to adjacent tracks and Main/Send output assignments, "punch" into existing automation sequences, and open and close the Pro Tools panner window. And with the 5-meter combo power and MIDI cable, you can use the Surround Panner while you monitor your mix in an optimal location in your studio — anywhere up to almost 16-1/2 feet away from your MIDI interface.
Flexible Integration
Although the Surround Panner ES Option for Pro Tools was designed to match and be used with the ICON D-Command ES console, you can use it with other Digidesign control surfaces — including C|24, 003 Factory, and Command|8 — and with Pro Tools|HD and Pro Tools LE* systems for your surround control needs.
* Pro Tools LE use requires the Complete Production Toolkit software option for up to 7.1 surround capabilities.
