Marshall-1973X-f-t.jpg

Marshall 1973X Handwired Amp

Handwired Series - B Stock The 18 Watt 1973X is an accurate re-issue of the revered 1973 dual-channel, all-valve, 2 x 12″ combo, produced between 1966 and 1968. Just like the original the 1973X is hand soldered, with valve-driven Tremolo, and no negative feedback in its cathode-biased EL84-driven output stage. Its two-channel design is straightforward and effective – just Volume and Tone controls on channel one, and Volume, Tone, Speed and Sensitivity on the Tremolo channel.

Because of its lower Wattage, the 1973X’s power valves will overdrive sooner than an amp of higher power. This means that the 1973X produces harmonically rich and responsive, vintage Marshall tone at volumes that won’t shift your hearing; this is great for the studio, and gives you greater control of your live sound. That said, at full whack it still packs quite a punch.

The T1221/67 Greenback speakers used in the original 1973 combo would mature over time, their sound softening with age. The special 12″ Celestion® G12M-20 Greenbacks in the 1973X have been aged to get as close as possible to that vintage, ’60s mojo.

Price: $2,205.00

Marshall-1974X-f-t.jpg

Marshall 1974X Handwired Amp

Handwired Series - B Stock The 18 Watt 1974X is a re-issue of the fabled 1974 dual channel, all-valve combo, produced between 1966 and 1968. Just like the original, the 1974X is hand soldered, with an aluminum chassis, and has a valve-driven Tremolo circuit. Its two-channel design is straightforward and effective – just volume and tone controls on channel one and volume, tone, speed and sensitivity on the Tremolo channel.

Because of its lower Wattage, the 1974X power valves will overdrive sooner than an amp of higher power. This means that the 1974X produces harmonically rich and sensitive, vintage Marshall tones at volumes that won't shift your hearing; this is great for the studio and gives you greater control of live sound. That said, flat out it still packs quite a punch.

The T1221/67 Greenback speaker used in the original 1974 combo would mature over time, with its sound softening with age. The special 12″ Celestion® G12M-20 Greenback in the 1974X has been ‘aged' to get as close as possible to that vintage, worn in, ’60s vibe.

Price: $2,047.50

Marshall-1962HW-f-t.jpg

Marshall 1962HW Handwired Amp

Handwired Series - B Stock The hand-soldered, all-valve 1962HW is a faithful recreation of the classic Series II 1962, 2 x 12″ combo. This legendary 30 Watt, two-channel amp was born in 1965 and was famously used by Eric Clapton on one of the most influential blues albums, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, in 1966 – hence the 1962’s commonly used ‘Bluesbreaker®’ nickname.

The 1962HW's circuit topology is taken from the first production run of the amp: four ECC83, two KT66 in the power stage and a GZ34 rectifier. It’s the GZ34 rectifier that helps create the joyous output stage compression and clean sustain associated with the 60s ‘Bluesbreaker’. And to accommodate the KT66 power valves, this re-issue has bigger cabinet dimensions, much closer to the original Series II. This makes the 1962HW sonically closer to the original than any other re-issue.

And to make the 1962HW as authentic as possible we have used original thickness, original pitch matrix, point to point tag boards and we have used valve-driven Tremolo.

Of course, the speakers are a vital part of the sound, and the 1962HW is loaded with a pair of 25 Watt, 12″ Celestion® G12-C Greenbacks.

Price: $3,045.00

Marshall-1958X-f-t.jpg

Marshall 1958X Handwired Amp

Handwired Series - B Stock The 1958X is a hand-soldered re-issue of the revered 1958, 18 Watt all-valve, 2 x 10″ combo. A painstakingly accurate re-issue, the 1958X is a straightforward amp that likes to be turned right up, overdriving its EL84 power valves; the 1958X sounds its best when cranked, producing harmonically complex and full, rich tone. But because of its lower Wattage, the 1958X will produce authentic Marshall® tone at a volume that won't shift your hearing.

For further authenticity, the 1958X also features valve-driven Tremolo, and just like the 1973X, has no negative feedback in its cathode-biased output stage.

The original Greenback speakers used in the 1958 combo would mature over time, their sound softening with age. The special 10″ Celestion® G10F-15 Greenbacks in the 1958X have been aged to get as close as possible to that vintage, worn in, ’60s vibe.
