JBL's EON300 series loudspeakers are the result of ground-up design and engineering integration of all the necessary components needed for a portable system. All electro-acoustic components have been specifically designed to work together in a highly optimized manner not only increasing performance levels but also reliability. The efficiencies of design have also reached the construction of the systems making them more robust than ever.
Through cutting edge mechanical design and expertise in materials the EON300 series loudspeakers are not only as compact as they possibly can be but are significantly less weight than competitive models, the fundamental key to high performance portability.
Low Frequency :
EON’s 15" woofer is the product of years of design refinement resulting in greater power handling and a smoother response than ever before. Featuring a 2.5" diameter edge-wound voice coil, it offers efficiency and incredibly low distortion for clean accurate lows.
High Frequency :
The latest generation of JBL HF compression drivers is used to deliver crystal clear highs. The ferro-fluid cooled driver features a 1" exit and is coupled to 100˚ H x 60˚ V waveguide for broad, consistent coverage over the entire audience area. The constant beamwidth and power response is a perfect match to the woofer resulting in a smooth and even response everywhere.
Proven Reliability :
JBL utilized over 60 years of experience designing world-class speakers to create the new EON series. All of our products must endure our world-famous 100 hour torture test to ensure years of reliable service. Built-in active and passive protection in both models protect the components on the inside while the extremely rugged composite shell and full metal grille, with a protective backing, stand up to the rigors of road abuse.
Portability :
EON has been designed to move whether from the back of your car to the gig or from storage to the stage. Through intense mechanical modeling and real life testing, handle locations have been highly fine tuned to balance points ensuring maximum comfort when carried. All access weight has been engineered out of the design resulting in an extremely lightweight system, the key to portability. Three full size handles and a fourth grip point provide the carrying flexibility required of a highly portable speaker system, whether sliding it onto the back seat of a car or lifting it up to place on a stand.
Versatility :
EON is the definition of a do-it-all loudspeaker system, the EON300 series is no exception. With flexible connectivity and enclosures that can be used as a main speaker or a low profile monitor it fits all applications. A standard pole mount socket with stabilizing screw and built-in non-slip rubber feet allow both secure stand mounting and free standing configurations. Integrated standard M10 suspension points make installation of the systems incredibly easy without the need for additional brackets.
Powered EON315
For total system integration, the EON315 is self-powered with the latest Class-D amplifier technology. Delivering a continuous 280 watts, the amp is incredibly efficient, extremely light-weight and very compact. A combo XLR/1/4" connector provides input flexibility and a selectable ‘mic’ setting means you can connect a dynamic microphone directly to the system for quick on-the-fly PA applications. Pre-engineered selectable system EQ is provided to assist in optimizing the system to the application and a simple XLR output enables the addition of more EONs for scalable performance.
