The JBL Venue Performance Series... Serious Powered Loudspeakers.

Premium Sound. Stand-Alone, or Arrayed :
The Venue Performance Series is a family of powered loudspeaker systems consisting of ten models, suitable for portable or fixed installation sound reinforcement applications where high output, low distortion, and the highest-quality sound are required. These systems are designed with compatibility in mind for applications where multiple loudspeakers are required for a multi-source distributed system, or where multiple loudspeakers will be configured into arrays. Application specific models are available to address stage-monitor and fill-speaker requirements. Overhead suspension is accomplished through the use of multiple attachment points suitable for permanent installation or temporary use. Electro-acoustic setup is a breeze as well thanks to the Harman Pro HiQnet System Architect™ software compatible with optional networked input modules available for use with DP-1 and DP-2 DrivePacks. At the heart of all JBL Professional products is a singular dedication to superb sound. It is the hallmark of all JBL products, and a new threshold is reached with the VP Series. Regardless of the application, stand-alone or in a complex array, the stunning sound of JBL's new VP Series is assured.

Suspension Hardware :
As with all VP Series features, suspension has been purposefully engineered for convenience and flexibility. Forged steel eyebolts for fixed installations and detachable fly-track fittings for portable applications are just a few of the rigging options available for various applications.

2452H-SL High Frequency Compression Driver :
Refining our innovative compression driver technology specifically for the VP Series, JBL engineers designed the new 2452H-SL with a lightweight neodymium magnet structure, 4" damped laminate diaphragm and a 1.5" exit. This next-generation device delivers crystal-clear sound with superb dynamic range.

Progressive Transition™ Waveguides :
Ensuring excellent coverage and pattern control, VP Series systems include JBL's Progressive Transition Waveguides, providing both 60° x 40° and 90° x 50° patterns with exceptionally low distortion and smooth response.

Differential Drive® Low Frequency Drivers :
JBL's patented Differential Drive low frequency drivers dramatically reduce driver weight while greatly enhancing all critical performance parameters: extended frequency response, high power output, and low distortion. Differential Drive technology features a unique design with heat sinks integrated into the cast aluminum frame for a highly improved performance-to weight ratio. The dual voice coil design places the neodymium magnet inside the voice coil assembly, completing the magnetic circuit without the heavy surrounding steel structure of conventional drivers.

DP DrivePack :
A key feature of the VP Series is its highly adaptable JBL DrivePack amplifier and signal processing module.
The two channel DP-2 module provides 1100 watts of total continuous power to each full-size, full-range system while the DP-1 sub-woofer module provides 1800 watts continuous power to the loudspeaker.

The HiQnet Advantage :
With optional network modules installed, Harman Professional’s HiQnet protocol provides remote access to digital speaker preset files in the JBL DrivePack units. System setup is easy yet powerful, thanks to the JBL DrivePack G.U.I. with its intuitive, user-friendly graphical interface. A variety of control and monitoring options are available at your fingertips, integrated into Harman Pro System Architect Software.
This provides complete control of not only your JBL DrivePack-equipped loudspeakers, but also other HiQnet-compatible audio products in the system.

Input Module & Connectivity :
JBL DrivePacks are equipped with a modular input bay. Standard DPIP input modules from dbx feature analog audio inputs and sophisticated DSP technology incorporating digital pre-equalization filters, frequency-dividing networks, and limiter circuitry from one of the industry's most trusted names in signal processing. Classic dbx Limiting functionality, dbx Type IV® analog-to-digital converters, and full bandpass and crossover configurations are all packed into the standard input module on every JBL DrivePack unit.
With JBL DrivePack, dbx's heritage of unrivaled system/loudspeaker control continues. Optional network input modules allow most JBL VP Series systems to link seamlessly into Harman Professional’s HiQnet system. The modular input design allows for future developments in audio distribution and networking topologies.
