Altec Peerless 15066 (Vintage)

70v Speaker Transformer One of the reasons ALTEC Lansing had superior transformers in their products was that the Peerless Transformer works was located in the rear of their Anaheim, California Factory. Peerless transformers are renowned for their high quality and prized by their owners. Unlike other makers who bought their transformers, either generically or custom built from another builder, Altec was able to get superior transformers absolutely optimized for their use, from the back of the plant. The 15066 is a tapped Loudspeaker Transformer, which was built to match loudspeaker loading to a higher voltage 25 or 70 volt source. Due to their considerable heavy “sandwich” ferrite core, they were much lower distortion than other makes of transformers, had a very small insertion loss and were used in many sound system situations both on loudspeakers and as and as “step-up” transformers on amplifiers.

Gauss 4583A 15in Loudspeaker (Used)

Gauss 4583A 15-inch loudspeaker. It is used, but in excellent shape. It had been professionally reconed by LA Speaker Service back in the 90s and has sat in the box as a spare since. These are hot speakers that are getting harder to find, despite the demand. Even the recone kits sell for over $150. This speaker has been tested and is in wonderful working condition. This is a beautiful 15", with a massive magnet, and an amazing amount of travel, even at ultra-low frequencies. It operates on 8 ohms, as identified by the model number and impedance designation on the back of the magnet.

Quad 8 Parametric EQ Module Card (Vintage)

EQ Module Card, 4 Band with Q These parametric equalizers have four frequency bands; High, Mid2, Mid1, and Low. Each band is frequency adjustable, Q adjustable, and boost-cut adjustable. The High and Low bands are switchable between peaking and shelfing characteristics, Q circuit is disabled. Filter Q is adjustable from 0.5 to 3. Frequencies covered are; 2K to 20K, 175 to 8K, 100 to 5K, and 20 to 200. A bypass switch is included. Input to the card is differential, and the output is single ended. Each module contains 4 TL-074 op-amps, 2 NE5534 op-amps and 3 NE 5532 op-amps.
