Small-Diaphragm Dual-Pattern Studio Condenser Microphone
The KSM141 is a small diaphragm end-addressed condenser microphone with a rotating collar - allowing easy switching between a highly consistent cardioid or true omnidirectional polar pattern for smooth and extremely focused sound reproduction.
The Shure KSM141 is an end-addressed condenser microphone with mechanically switching dual polar patterns (cardioid and omnidirectional).
Designed for studio use, yet rugged enough for live applications, the KSM141 can withstand extremely high sound pressure levels (SPL). Its low self-noise and extended frequency response make it ideal for recording musical instruments.
Design features of the KSM141/SL include Shure's Class A transformerless preamp circuitry for transparency. Cardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns with the turn of a rotating mechanical switch.
Extremely fast transient response with minimal distortion; a highly sensitive 2.5-micron gold-layered mylar diaphragm; and a switchable, 3-position low-frequency filter to limit unwanted background noise and proximity effect.
The KSM141 microphone can capture sounds between 20Hz and 20kHz. Switchable pad (15 or 25dB) permits miking of extremely high SPL sources such as guitar cabs and snare drums.
Shure ncludes a break-resistant mic clip, carrying case, and Popper Stopper windscreen with the KSM141 mic. Requires phantom power.
