Monster Compressor 2 is a device with a "right in your face character". It was redesigned to complement the "soulless", "super clean" digital technology and by adding color and life. The compression module evens the signal in a very pleasant and musical way, before the tube saturation. EMPEROR LIMITER is an analog dynamics processor, which depending on the settings can work as a compressor, limiter or harmonics distortion generator. It was designed for creating the original, vivid, analog sound for instruments, subgroups and the whole mix.
Before bringing the MEQ-5 midrange equalizer into the 500-series family, we discussed the project with legendary producer/engineer Jack Douglas (John Lennon, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, etc.). Jack has indicated previously that the MEQ-5 has been a staple of his guitar, bass, vocal and keyboard sounds over the years.
The Tutti microphone and instrument preamplifier is designed and produced in collaboration with Wolff Audio and Sunset Sound Recorders, Hollywood. The product is made in tribute to Tutti Camarata, an audio innovator and the founder of Sunset Sound. Tutti, along with his internal engineering staff, created the original preamp that was installed into the Sunset Sound Studio 1 console and used to record thousands of tracks in legendary sessions.
