The Brauner Phanthera V is very similar to the Brauner Phanthera, but has the added selectable polar patterns. As well as cardioid, the Phanthera V also provides switching between omni or bidirectional, lending itself to a range of applications. Using the omnidirectional selection, the user can record ambience, soloists and full orchestras with the beautiful natural characteristics of the Phanthera microphone. Another great use for the selectable omni directional or bidirectional polar response is in conjunction with another microphone in a stereo configuration. Also included on the mic is an attenuator that you can switch in, to lower the output level by 10db. All these features combined mean the the Phanthera V is a highly versatile microphone suitable to a huge amount of audio recording applications.
