This Neve 5542 is a portable mixer from the late 70’s previously belonged to Covent Garden Royal Opera House and occasionally used in some productions in my own private studio
The Neve 542 has 8 x 34128 channel strips including switchable mic/line inputs with added direct outs on D-sub, a small 3 band EQ with fixed high/low and switched mid, filter, 90 db gain and a mixbus makes this a perfect frontend and summing for any DAW system. also very suitable for on location recordings. Includes two mono aux’s, a stereo playback inputs with pans, control room monitor , a headphone amp and test oscillator. That Mixer despite its size has a huge headroom and sounds better than bigger mixers on the market. It has the extra feature that it was modified with x 8 direct outputs via D-Sub 25 connector that gives to the mixer a greater versatility to take each channel directly to recording.
