Sony ECM-65P Vintage Condenser Microphone. This mic is in good shape physically and is fully functional. We tested it here in the shop and got some really full and quality sound out of it. The mic features a cardioid pattern. This mic comes from the renowned Indigo Ranch Recording Studios in California and has a label signed “Indigo” with the mic info on it. This mic will take a battery to power itself, but we tested the mic using phantom power as the battery is missing. Compatible batteries include the Eveready E-177 and the Mallory TR-177. This mic would make a great addition to any gear collection. It would be best suited for broadcast applications but could also be used for some close micing on an acoustic guitar or hi-hat cymbal.
