Telefunken V72 Racked Pair Tube Mic Preamps (Vintage)
The V72 was is a self contained mic amplifier with a fixed gain level of 34 dB. Produced in Germany between 1951-1963. Although tens of thousands of V72’s were produced for European broadcast stations broadcast more notably they were used in the famous REDD.37 console at Abbey Road Studios the last of the tube consoles created by EMI’s Record Engineering Development Department.
The modules are incredibly clean and quiet and offer smooth rich harmonics, the rack contains a DI section. Great mic pre in combination with a vintage U87 or small diaphragm condensers. A great addition to your vintage collection.
