Aviom D400 A-Net Distributor Personal Mixer
Powerful Connectivity More Affordable Than Ever
Like the D800 family of A-Net Distributors, the D400 and D400-Dante provide robust, reliable connectivity, delivering power and high fidelity digital audio to your Aviom Personal Mixers-at an unbeatable price.
The D400 and D400-Dante can be used with A640, A360, A320, and A-16II Personal Mixers in any combination.
The D400 and D400-Dante A-Net Distributors provide the link between the personal mixing system’s inputs and the Personal Mixers, providing DC power and a copy of the A-Net digital audio stream to your Aviom Personal Mixers, utilizing standard Cat-5e cables.
There are two versions of the D400 product. The standard D400 has an Aviom A-Net input, perfect for using with Aviom’s analog input modules or digital console cards from Aviom or our third party partners. The D400-Dante has a Dante input instead, and allows up to 32 channels (at 44.1/48kHz) to be routed from a Dante-enabled console or digital audio network to the Personal Mixers.
Building a System with the D400 and D400-Dante
Connecting to Analog or Digital Consoles
For personal mixing systems that use one or more analog input modules (AN-16/i v.2, AN-16/i-M, or legacy AN-16/i) or an A-Net console card (such as the Y1 A-Net Card for Yamaha digital consoles), use the standard D400 with the Aviom A-Net input.
With one Pro16 A-Net In and eight powered A-Net Outs, you can provide power and audio for up to eight Aviom Personal Mixers. And the D400 includes an unpowered A-Net Out as well, perfect for connecting additional A-Net Distributors for systems with more than eight Personal Mixers. Learn more about expanding.
Connecting to Dante
If your audio system uses Dante audio networking, the D400-Dante is a great choice for basic connectivity to a Dante network.
The D400-Dante allows you to select any 32 channels from your 44.1/48kHz Dante network and assign them to your Aviom Personal Mixers using the Dante Controller application from Audinate.
Grow your system
If you need more than eight Personal Mixers, both the D400 and the D400-Dante include an A-Net Out port-perfect for sending the incoming audio stream (regardless of its original source) to additional A-Net Distributors. There is no practical limit to the number of A-Net Distributors and Personal Mixers that you can use in a system. Learn more about expanding your system.

Stereo Links
Stereo Links are a powerful feature on the A640, A320 and A360 Personal Mixers, allowing a pair of adjacent channels to be assigned to a single mix channel button.
The D400 and D400-Dante give the user the option of assigning stereo links using a set of DIP switches on the front panel of the A-Net Distributor instead of at the input device.
A-Net Offset
The A-Net Offset DIP switches on the D400 can be used to select which bank of channels from the incoming A-Net stream will be assigned to the Personal Mixers connected to the distributor. In larger systems, especially those using multiple A-Net Distributors, this allows extra channel assignment flexibility when connecting input sources to the network.
