The Classic Magnatone M-197-3-V is a great amp for lap steel's. This unit is the Lelani Model with a unique Varsity Black Sparkle finish. Sonically it has a warm, small, boxy feel making it a tone monster. Made in Los Angeles in the early 1950's, the Lelani Model caught the attention of lap steel players because of its unique ability to drive the tubes with out extreme break up and distortion. This unit has one USA Sylvania 5Y3 GT one USA Sylvania 6V6 GT and one 1 RCA 65J7 USA tubes. In combination with the 8'' Oxford 75L-2 speaker, this beauty is one amp that is a must for any lap steel player.
