Microtech Gefell KEM 975 Cardioid Plane Microphone
Cardioid plane-microphone with non-rotational symmetrical directivity stationary fixing
The Gefell KEM 975 is a multi-capsule line-array condenser microphone system featuring a broad cardioid pattern designed to capture wide or moving sound sources at distances up to three times greater than omni microphones within the same diffuse field. It offers visual indicators for optimum positioning, suppression of unwanted vertical reflections, and a 6 dB improvement in feedback threshold for sound reinforcement applications. With a frequency response of 40–18,000 Hz, line-level output, and a five-position level switch (-36, -24, -12, 0, +12 dB), it ensures flexible operation in professional environments. Supplied in an aluminum carrying case complete with C975.1 10 m cable, MH975 swivel joint, N975 power supply, and rackmount kit, the system is ideal for conference and installation use. Its discreet table and ceiling mounting design, compact capsule dimensions, and optimized frequency response provide natural voice reproduction, while the Cardioid Plane characteristic enables excellent horizontal freedom of movement and superior vertical noise suppression. Additional features such as ready and signaling functions, low current consumption for phantom-powered operation, and support for cable lengths up to 100 m allow seamless integration into virtually any conference setup.
