Schoeps OCT-9 9-CH Surround Set Recording Technique

The Schoeps OCT-9 set contains:

• 6 * CCM 41 L, supercardial microphones
• 3 * CCM 4 L, kidney microphones
• 2 * MAB 1000, stereo rails with additional riders for the height channels + CB-MAB + case

**optional: 4 * STR 250 tripod poles.

These tripod bars serve to create a distance between the microphones of the lower and upper levels. This reduces their correlation in the diffuse field. Since the correlation in the diffuse field plays a smaller role in vertical pairs of speakers than in horizontal, the 4 supercalisers for the vertical channels can also be mounted directly on the stereo rail.

• 9-channel set for 3D recordings using the “OCT-3D” technique with microphones and stereo rails
• OCT-3D is a recording technique for 7.1 or 9.1 surround. It expands the well-known OCT technique on height channels.
