Trident A Range Mic Pre/EQ’s Rack of 8 (Vintage)
Only thirteen original A-Range consoles were ever manufactured and sold (Between 1971-1975). The first console was created in house at Trident Studios in London. Word of the board led to the creation of Trident Audio Developments in 1972
Famous for all-discrete microphone preamplifiers and a highly musical, inductor-based EQ. These ultra-rare modules contain the original and highly desirable ZUTT 012a mic input transformers
The modules are the original beautiful aubergine (“eggplant”) color, which was ultimately selected by legendary producer Roy Thomas Baker.
- Low Frequencies (Shelving): Selectable fixed frequencies at 50 Hz, 80 Hz, 100 Hz, and 150 Hz with ±15 dB of gain.
- Low-Mid Frequencies (Peaking): Selectable fixed frequencies at 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz.
- High-Mid Frequencies (Peaking): Selectable fixed frequencies at 3 kHz, 5 kHz, 7 kHz, and 9 kHz.
- High Frequencies (Shelving): Selectable fixed frequencies at 8 kHz, 10 kHz, 12 kHz, and 15 kHz.
Filters: Includes both high-pass and low-pass filters with a 6 dB per octave slope.
Modules will be fully serviced prior to sale. Includes external power supply, cabinet grade enclosure and flight case.
